The Official 3.0 Update for iPhone and iPod Touch is finally upon us and is taking the (i)internet by storm. The Dev-Team has promised an iPhone 3G unlock and a jailbreak for all 3.0’s except 3GS by Friday (which is also the launch day of iPhone 3GS). Engadget and Gizmodo have already gotten their units and have done a full review of the iPhone 3G. One is very positive while the other is somewhat negative in terms of the review, but both conclude that the 3GS is a giant successor to the 3G. Some main new features of iPhone 3GS include the Nike+ support, magnetometer (compass), video recording, voice command, better camera, better battery life and faster data network and of course more Speed. The firmware is 3.0 but is somewhat different due to some of the new hardware on the phone such as the magnetometer and it’s compass icon.
