For those who were waiting to jailbreak the new iPhone OS 3.0 because they were waiting for ultrasn0w, need not wait no more. The Dev-Team has just released ultrasn0w for 3.0, which allows you to fully unlock your iPhone from your carrier (making it usable on worldwide GSM networks).

For Windows users, the only way to jailbreak your 3.0 OS is only through redsn0w, as the Dev-Team has not released QuickPwn. For MAC users, they can get a hold of PwnageTool to jailbreak their 3.0 OS.

Now, you’re probably wondering where to get this ‘ultrasn0w’? Well, as the Dev-Team promised, it is being released through Cydia. So once you have jailbroken your iPhone, do the following, as the Dev-Team puts it:

1. Ensure you have upgraded to iPhone OS 3.0
2. Jailbreak your iPhone 3G using redsn0w or PwnageTool (this will also install Cydia/Icy)
3. Run Cydia or Icy
4. Please add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com to Cydia or Icy. That last “o” is actually the number zero “0”! If you use the letter “o” you’ll get an error.
5. Search for ‘ultrasn0w’ in cydia or icy and install ultrasn0w
6. Reboot your iPhone 3G
7. T-Mobile USA users should disable 3G before using ultrasn0w
8. Enjoy

The Dev-Team delivers as promised, a lowdown version of the their tool is now available for iPhone 2G and 3G and the first gen iPod Touch. THIS IS NOT FOR 3GS, DO NOT ATTEMPT! I’ll give the floor to the Dev-Team for the details:

“This is the low down on our tools for use with the 3.0 firmware from Apple, read the whole post in full before attempting anything. Because of some bugs and unexpected changes this will be a multipart release, starting with the release of PwnageTool for Mac OS X. QuickPwn for Mac OS X and Windows will follow sometime soon, please don’t bug us about it, we are working flat out to get everything finished to release them.”

Yep, its here, but it is the low down version, so you gotta know what your doing in order to go through successfully rather than having a very expensive tech brick. For those of you who just want a safe secure and promising jailbreak, just wait it out as an official user friendly version should be out in near future.

UPDATE: Dev-Team has released redsn0w, you can use this to jailbreak and unlock all iPhones and iPod Touches except iPhone 3GS. There are 2 version, one for mac and the other for windows, here is the link, http://blog.iphone-dev.org/.

I can confirm this works on Windows 7 for iPhone 2G as I have personally tested it.

2. Contact Form 7
   Purpose:  probably one of the best contact forms available for WordPress; fully customizable!
3. Disable Trackbacks
   Purpose:  stops adding trackbacks as comments to your blog posts; separate your trackbacks from comments.
4. GöSPress
   Purpose:  one stop spell checker added to your admin panel.
5. MobilePress
   Purpose:  must have plug-in, converts WordPress into a more user friendly mobile page (for smart-phones users!)

The Official 3.0 Update for iPhone and iPod Touch is finally upon us and is taking the (i)internet by storm. The Dev-Team has promised an iPhone 3G unlock and a jailbreak for all 3.0’s except 3GS by Friday (which is also the launch day of iPhone 3GS). Engadget and Gizmodo have already gotten their units and have done a full review of the iPhone 3G. One is very positive while the other is somewhat negative in terms of the review, but both conclude that the 3GS is a giant successor to the 3G. Some main new features of iPhone 3GS include the Nike+ support, magnetometer (compass), video recording, voice command, better camera, better battery life and faster data network and of course more Speed. The firmware is 3.0 but is somewhat different due to some of the new hardware on the phone such as the magnetometer and it’s compass icon. Ryder here once again with another site update!  Updated the favicon which can be seen as the little icon in the corner of the web address bar.  On the left is a larger sample of what we will be using from now on.  You have to clear your cache in order for you to see the new favicon, and there are two methods of doing this.  Once you can follow the steps I provided on a previous tip, which can be found here.  Or click this link to view the new icon and the next time you visit our site you should be able to see the new favicon!
