Alright we have been busy lately but still managed time to get in some updates here and there.  We have done many background modifications on the site (technical aspect) which you may not notice but it is vital for HexRyde to develop.  One of the new addition is the twitter add-on, so from now on when we add a new post it will automatically tweet about it!  I have also added the search add-on available on Firefox, IE and other web browsers; what that means is that you will be able to add the HexRyde search feature on to your browser allowing you to quickly to search for new posts via your browser!

In addition, you might of heard all the rumours going on about the iPhone 3Gs, which is set to release June 19th!  Liquid recently made a blog posts summarizing some of the specs which were leaked out earlier.  However, newer sources state that many of the rumours were indeed not true and Liquid was nice enough to give us a follow up which can be found here!

Windows 7 Multitasking

Jun 15
2009

Here is a short video of some programs running on Windows 7. Even with these programs running, everything from Google Chrome to Windows Live Messenger was a seamless and lagless experience. This OS is an AMD  Turion X2 Ultra Dual Core with 3 GB of RAM running 64 bit, so it can definitely handle more than this. Jump on the bandwagon, go 64 bit!

More info on new iPhone + Release Date!

May 23
2009

The new iPhone is almost certainly on it’s way. Daring Fireball’s John Gruber has confirmed most of the specs that were leaked earlier (who has been accurate in the past about such things) emphasizing that it will have a major speed increase compared to current iPhones because of the new upgraded processor and double the RAM. He also confirmed that it will contain a 3.2 MP camera with video recording and basic editing. Engadget reports the following new specs in addition to the earlier ones:

  • no more metal band around the front edges
  • 1.5 times more battery life
  • OLED screen
  • built in FM transmitter
  • lighting up Apple logo on the back
  • rubber tread backing

There has also been rumors and reports on some carriers accidentally leaking proof of new iPhones. AT & T supposedly is out of 16GB iPhone 3G’s and is not planning on restocking and also accidentally posted a page on their website for a trade in of a 32GB iPhone 3G(which does not exist as of yet) for a Blackberry Bold. Other carriers around the world have also made similar posts and immediately taken them down. Vodafone also reached an “End of Life” for the 16GB iPhone 3G’s. Analysts and reports are currently hinting at a July 17th 2009 June 19, 2009 release date for the new iPhone.

UPDATE: Looks like Engadget went a bit wild with the predictions, maybe next year that list will be fulfilled?
