PS3 Slim?

May 17
2009

It is evident that Sony loves to revise all there consoles to attract more consumers once sales start to fall. It started with the PlayStation 1 shrinking almost 50% in size and then the PS2 also loosing most of its bulk after a couple of years. If history repeats it self, which seems to be the case, then the recent rumblings of the PS3 Slim aren’t as far-fetched as they seem. Sony has already made several revisions to it’s PS3; although it hasn’t changed the size or the shape, it is still a start! From the looks of it making the PS3 slim won’t be all that hard either; a smaller power supply, more compact hard drives and viola, if it can be done with the NetBooks, then the PS3 should be a breeze. Although Sony has flat out denied reports of a slimmer version of the PS3, pictures have been released. Whether there fake or real? Only time will tell.

May 16
2009

Why you may ask??? Why would you want to hold off from getting one of the most anticipating devices for the summer of 2009? Well, its because Microsoft has a new toy for us releasing sometime in the next 4 to 6 months. You may be thinking of not waiting but you have to at least try, and if you fail I will completely understand. As far as we can tell many Microsoft insiders had hinted through Twitter that Microsoft will be releasing their version to fight their nemisis at Apple. Dubbed the “ZunePhone” Microsoft hopes to become the supreme ruler in the cell phone market. We’ll so far specs have not been released about the phone, however you can make the assumption that since the new Zune line of players will be in HD the new ZunePhone would probably be as well. As more news surfaces be sure to visit as we update constantly.

Nokia Coming out with Multi-Touch phones?

May 15
2009

Nokia has been on the quiet side so far this year. The N97 has been announced for a while now but still no release, or a proper release date for that matter. Digitimes has reported that Nokia has placed orders of capacitive touch screens with Wintek. Capacitive touch screens, as opposed to resistive touch screens, are more finger friendly and do not require the tip of the finger or a stylus and instead uses the warmth of the finger to respond to touches. Apple hit big success with this multi-touch technology by using it on their iPhones and iPods. Apple also claims that this technology is theirs, but Palm has been the only company to challenge that by using multi-touch in their Palm Pre handset set to launch this summer. Nokia will be the second company to file the multi-touch patent. Apple has not yet taken any actions against Palm for the patent. Nokia is also allegedly planning on using advanced 3G technology on newer handsets set to be released this summer. The Nokia N97 device will not be equipped with this capacitive touch screen technology.

Google Was Down!

May 15
2009

Hi Shadow here, you may have noticed or heard the news that Google’s site went down, on Thursday May 14 at 8:40 and 9:55 ET Google site crashed.  It’s normal for a site to crash or go down once in a while but seeing that Google is the world’s top search engine and one of the top news databases, it would seem like a big deal. It may have been a massive system wide hack as it has affected users worldwide and in many parts of Google itself, but Google is denying any hack or disruption by an external source. Click here to read more.
